This weekend was a lot of fun, thank you to everyone that came online to wage battle across the seas!
The winner of Round 2 is Captain Dunsel! It appears Captain Dunsel is getting better as they have played 9 games, same as last round, but improved their score from 2000 to 2680! Congratulations! They're going to need to stay sharp though as we're seeing some new names on the board.  Welcome and nice work sailors.

If you weren't in Round 1 or just didn't know we are experiencing an unexpected departure of our online multiplayer service provider. We apologize for any unexpected difficulties with Battle Fleet 2 and the possible delay of Battle Fleet: Ground Assault. 
We appreciate your continued support and ask that you please consider contributing financially to bolster our resources and smooth out this transition. In exchange we will gladly offer you early access to Battle Fleet: Ground Assault!

All hands to battle stations!

Round 2 is here! Gather your friends and enemies and take to the seas for dynamic and explosive battles!

The tournament will begin Friday June 23rd at 6am PST and go till Sunday June 25th at 11:59pm PST. Veterans will know the drill but here is a refresher, aim to gain the most prestige points by the end of the tournament. The sailor with the highest prestige score will be honored with the rank of Captain. 

Other details are:
- All battles between Friday the 23rd of June 6am PST and Sunday the 25th of June midnight PST will be counted in the tournament.
- Battle Fleet 2 version 1.41 or higher is required. Please check the version number at the bottom of the game's main menu.
- Battles must be 1500 or less Industry Points in size
- Any map is valid. 
- Any ships are valid.
- Any platforms are valid, including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon.
- Battle must last for at least 1 turn.
- Scores and usernames of all participants will be posted on the Battle Fleet 2 social / media channels on Monday the 26th of June.

The new set of tournaments is exciting and something we look forward to. Unfortunately and unexpectedly our online multiplayer back end service provider has decided to jump ship. 

This complicates matters for all of us. Our primary goal is to keep an online multiplayer option available. To do this we will be taking resources from Battle Fleet: Ground Assault, which will slightly sandbag its development. 

We are grateful for the community's support and ask that you help us with the financial burden of transition costs and back end development costs. In return for your support we will give you a pre-order option for the Steam version of Battle Fleet: Ground Assault. This version will come with early beta access before the full release to the public as well as the special rank of Tank Ace that will signify your status as a special supporter. The multiplayer community will know you helped make multiplayer possible for Battle Fleet: Ground Assault.

Tournaments have returned to Battle Fleet 2 and they took off earlier this month with a BANG! On the weekend of June 2nd many brave Sailors fought for the title of Captain and one came out victorious, Captain Dunsel. They shall be known as Captain Captain Dunsel from now on.
